Elks Local Scholarship

Any child or stepchild of a paid up Pontiac Elks member is eligible to apply. The applicant must be a full time student in a college, university, or trade school. Applications are available in the lodge office.

Application deadline is April 1, 2014.

Emergency Scholarships

The Emergency Educational Grant program provides financial assistance to children of deceased or totally disabled Elks, who wish to obtain or further their college education.

Legacy Awards

The Legacy Awards are $4,000 scholarships ($1,000 per year for four years) available to children & grandchildren of current Elk members.

Elks Most Valuable Student

The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2014 competition.

Illinois Elks Children’s Care Corp. Scholarship for Physical/Occupational Therapy Majors

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a recognized physical or occupational therapy program, a pre-therapy course of studies, or a therapy assistant program. Awards range from $500 to $3,000. Students are eligible for up to six years of awards. You must reapply and qualify each year. Applications are available online at www.elkscare.org or www.iea-ieccc.info and at all local high school guidance offices.

Application deadline is March 7, 2014.

Special Education Major Scholarship

Applicants must be a full-time student with a declared major of and accepted in a course of studies in the field of Special Education, with a “B” average. Student must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student for the Fall Semester/Quarter of 2013. See this website for more information.
